Why we built study.and.travel

Most online "GCSE practice" sites are dressed-up flashcard apps. They reward speed and lucky guesses, not the structured thinking the real Edexcel mark scheme rewards.

study.and.travel is built differently. Every question is modelled after a real Foundation exam, every wrong answer triggers a short "learning bite" that explains why it's wrong, and every free-text answer is graded against the same mark-scheme bullets an examiner would use.

What you get on day one

• A real-exam UI: monospace question codes, [marks] callouts on the right, dotted answer lines.
• Per-student variant rotation — two students sitting next to each other see different numbers and different distractors.
• A teacher dashboard that shows you each student's predicted GCSE 9–1 grade based on their best attempt.
• No student accounts. Students join with a 4-letter class code and get going in under 30 seconds.

What's in the POC

We're starting laser-focused: Edexcel GCSE Physics → Year 9 Foundation → Electricity — the unit that, in our experience, is the highest-impact place to put practice time.
